Artist's Comments

The eternal struggle of dark and light, good and evil, positive and negative yet always keeping a balance. This is my view of the yin and yang philosophy. Something I really think makes sense in our lives. We all have this struggle inside of us. The light and the dark. They always oppose each other but they need each other to survive. The balanced equation. With this piece I wanted to convey that dynamic struggle with dragons, the most powerful beings in Eastern mythology.

In eastern mythology like Chinese, dragons are not evil ugly monsters of death. They are powerful and wondrous beings. Mainly controlling rivers and rain. They are worshiped as gods and they are considered the most lucky and powerful of the 12 sacred creatures. My Chinese zodiac is the Dragon - so I like to draw them as much as possible.
